About

It’s a special honour to be bestowed the title “baker” in the family:

+ You’re the go-to when your nephew needs a birthday cake.
+ Your name is always under “dessert” for thanksgiving dinner duties.
+ Your dad only wants a loaf of sourdough for the holidays.

And so forth!

If you’re anxious around the oven, that’s okay. I get it! Baking is science, and a quite a bit of math, which can be daunting. But I’m here to help you master your mixing bowl. So, if you are a baker or want to give baking a go, I invite you to follow along with me as I practice new techniques, learn new skills, and eat way too many cakes and pies.

The Baker in the Family

I’m Adele, the baker! I’m a New Zealander living in the southern United States. I know the difference between a biscuit and a scone, I love bread, and when the family needs a birthday cake or a potluck dessert they come to see me. Stick around and I’ll help you master your mixing bowl and become the baker in your family too!
